Do you actually need the latest version?
Usually, yes — but it is worth knowing why rather than updating on reflex. Three things change between IV7 builds, and only one of them is optional.
Security patches are not optional. v2.2.4 fixed the session-token refresh path, which is exactly the kind of thing you do not want to be running an old version of on an app that holds money. Anything older than that build is worth leaving behind today.
Server compatibility drifts. Endpoints change as the platform evolves, and old clients eventually stop being able to talk to them. This is rarely dramatic — it shows up as a login that hangs, or a withdrawal screen that will not load — but it does mean a very old build will strand you.
New games and features are optional. If v2.4.1's two new JILI titles do not interest you, that part genuinely does not matter. Update for the first two reasons, not this one.
How to update the IV7 game without losing anything
The thing people worry about — losing a balance — cannot happen through a normal update. Your wallet lives on the server against your mobile number, not inside the app package.
- Check what you are on: Profile → About inside the app.
- If it is older than v2.4.1, download the current APK from the IV7 APK download page.
- Open the file and tap Install. Do not uninstall the old app first — that is the step that costs you the local session and forces a fresh login for no reason.
- Open IV7. Your balance, VIP tier, history and login session are all still there. Confirm the new version under Profile → About.
If you hit App not installed at step 3, your existing copy came from a different source and has a mismatched signature. Uninstall it, install the file from here, then log in with your mobile number — your account and balance come straight back.

Why we do not host older IV7 APK versions
People search for old builds for two reasons: a new version changed something they liked, or a new version broke something on their phone. Both are fair. Hosting old APKs is still the wrong answer.
An outdated build is missing every security patch shipped since, and it will eventually fail against current server endpoints — so the fix is temporary by design. More importantly, “IV7 old version” is one of the most heavily targeted search phrases in this category: the mirror sites serving those results are where tampered builds concentrate, because anyone hunting an old version has already accepted they will not find it officially.
If a release broke something for you, report it through in-app support with your phone model and Android version. That path fixes it for everyone in the next build, which is a better outcome than one person running an unpatched client.
